Homa J. Freeman, Jr., (known as “Jay” and now retired), completed his undergraduate education (1971 – Economics with Honors; Phi Beta Kappa) and legal education (1974) at The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  He has represented clients in real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, elder law, business planning and development and community associations in the Research Triangle area since 1974.

He has been active in Bar Association activities at both the local and state levels, having served as Secretary of the Fourteenth Judicial District Bar Association, Chairman of the Education Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and Chairman of the Practical Skills Course Committee.  He has served on the Board of the Durham CrimeStoppers Chapter.
